Austral Engineering & Software, Inc. (AES) was formed on January 1, 1994.
The company was created and licensed as a professional engineering firm in the
state of Ohio in order to pursue both government and private-sector engineering
research and software development projects. The initial focus of AES was
in the areas of dynamic systems modeling, control system design, system
simulation, optimization, and corresponding software development. Since
that time, AES has expanded its efforts to include work in a broader range of
high-technology aerospace and public-health related areas.
In recent years, AES has
received contracts from the United States Air Force Research Laboratory
(Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, in Dayton, Ohio, and Air Force Office of
Scientific Research, in Alexandria, Virginia) in several areas of modeling,
identification, control, design, and optimization of dynamical systems such as
those present in aerospace applications.
This website is being
developed as part of a project sponsored by the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention in which AES is producing web-accessible software that
employs advanced operations research methodologies to optimize the selection of
vaccines for pediatric immunization.
